My Twisted Tumbler turned out a little more twisted then planned. I carefully arranged and numbered the rows for piecing, but somehow managed to start several rows from the wrong end of the previous row. Oh well, it definitely has the scrappy look now. The original Twisted Tumbler has a border, but I was thinking of going borderless.
The weather is not what we would expect for December; this afternoon reached the mid 50's. The grass is still growing and plants are starting to break ground. A heavy frost turned the garden into a sugar coated wonderland, but was soon washed away by heavy rain.
Countdown to Christmas with Aurifil Thread
What a nice collection I will have by December 25th.
Once the calendar flips to December the main focus is Christmas, but I hope to find a little time to finish my November Sweet Nostalgia block, Making Friends and more importantly to complete my last five Dear Jane center blocks.
Until next time.....happy quilting!

better double-twisted than non-twisted :-) I like Your fabricchoice. How many tumblers did You use ? My tq needs 300 pieces and right now I´ve prepared 90.
happy quilting

Your Twisted Tumbler is absolutely gorgeous, I love your choice of fabric. How many tumblers are in your top? I like the idea going borderless on this one.
I use Aurifil Thread and love it. Though I have only used 50/2. The colors are also great.
Happy stitching.

I love your Twisted Tumblers! Such a lovely combination of greens and oranges, it will be a beautiful quilt with or without a border. The thread is lovely, perhaps I should try some.
Your Twisted Tumblers are so cheerful!!
Wonderful colors in your Twisted Tumbler. Great picture of the leaves with the frost!!
Your frosted garden is beautiful! How lucky to get that photo before the rains came.
Your twisted Tymbler looks so intersting and different from a normal tumbler. Thanks for linking to the pattern. It really make me realize, what the quilts looks like.
Aurifil - I just had the first coming and look forward to give it a try.
I wish you a wonderful December.
I didn't know The Twisted Tumblers, but like them very much. Yours looks so wonderful, you used lovely colours. I hope you manage to make the DJ blocks!
Happy quilting, Cisca
Love the colors on your twisted tumblers - reminds me of Spring. The scrappy look is great!
What a gorgeous photo of your plants with the frost on.
Love your twisted tumblers.
Karen, your garden looks sugar coated! Beautiful picture! Pretty quilt and great thread.
Nice quilt. It is amazing how much it looks like the plants you to a picture of. Both are such pretty colors.
