One never comes home empty handed after a road trip to Shipshewana. This was my third visit and well worth the 6 hour drive to get there. My first purchase was some Gee's Bend fabric, so beautiful and vibrant, with slight variations. It was suggested that I purchase a small bottle of Synthrapol to pre-wash the fabric with as it is very over dyed.
Even though my reproduction bin is filled to the brim and the lid will not close, I just had to bring home a handful or two of Civil War fabric. My eyes go straight to the cheddar, isn't that wonderful!
A pretty green Asian fabric and a few very different ones also made the trip home. I was thinking of cutting a clamshell or two out of each of them, but I think I have enough clamshells to keep me busy for a very long time.
And, I could not resist a few Kaffe Fassett, 1930's and Batiks.
My search is now over for an accent fabric to go with my Shades of Autumn POTC background fabric, as this dark green fabric turned out to be an excellent find.
The last bit of fabric I will show you, but not the last of the fabric I bought, is a mix of solids and others I just couldn't live without. I also bought background fabric for my Hocuspocusville stitchery quilt and some polka-dot fabric for an upcoming project.
And, a few more stencils to add to my collection.
I did take some pictures at the Shipshewana Quilt Show and will share them with you once I get a chance to go through them.

Karen, you found some beautiful things! I've never seen the needle puller! very interesting. I use little pliers. lol Will have to check it out. Oh, these fabrics are gorgeous!
