One Flower Wednesday

The last thing I do before going to bed Tuesday evenings is set out my Karen's Flower Garden project box, to have ready for One Flower Wednesday.

Today was a good day and my garden has grown by three flowers.

Danielle has joined our little group this week and her first flower is so sweet!  Jan is prepping and will have something to show soon.   Ann is making her Flower Garden from beautiful Lecien fabric and Cathi has two Flower Gardens on the go!   Valentina is really getting into One Flower Wednesday and has designed a badge (photo above) for her sidebar.  Isn't it lovely?  And, another lady that likes to garden is Sandra, her first flower is made from reproduction fabric and it is just beautiful!

Would you like to join our little Garden Party?  The only requirement is to make at least one flower every Wednesday and post your progress at least once a month.  Posting on a Wednesday would be ideal and make it easier for others to follow your progress.

I'm so happy to be back working on my hexagon flowers and it feels like I am sitting in the same room with the rest of the ladies, as I stitch away.

Until next time.....happy quilting!

Karen

Although I can not join you in your Garden party, I did want to say you have done a nice job on the ones you have featured in today's post.

Hello Karen! Thank you for allowing me to join your group. Today was a good first day. Sweet, dear Ann helped hold my hand through the decisions of making the first block. What size? What types of fabrics? So many decisions...and so simple once the first was made. I look forward to sharing MANY more Wednesdays with you ladies. Especially when you live alone on an island, it's so special to have a day set aside to share with friends. I too, will lay out my box the night before. XO

Hi Karen, this is so tempting, I have always loved hexagon quilt, and when it is named Flower Garden mmmm, it sounds much more interesting. Are you making blocks or will you piece them all together? Your flowers are really beautiful.

Do my little hexagon flowers for my Swan Lake quilt count? I would love to join in but I think I am over extended as it is at the moment. I am really enjoying watching your garden grow and this week's blooms are beautiful.

Pretty, pretty hexagons! Have fiddled with doing them and love the look. Have done a few in batiks and would love to do some in vintage fabrics. It's fun looking in on your great blog and seeing all the lovely things you do. Awesome, Karen. Carol

Karen pretty hexagons and klosjes.
Can I join the garden party as a kick start to finish 2 hexagon quilts that are already started. I don't think DH would understand more hexies just cause and my goal for the year is to finish at least some outstanding quilts.
Have a good day Terry

Karen, can I join? I have a garden started and this would be a way to get me going on it again even if I only did one a week or the month.

Your flowers are SO BEAUTIFUL and too tempting, you know. SO I would love to join in too, but I only wish MORE TIME... I'm gonna try first flower on next week. What size are your hexagons?

Hi Karen, I've just popped over from Valentina's and would love to join your group if there is still room?
It's a lovely idea and I'm sure I could manage just one each Wednesday.

Hi Karen, Have been admiring all these beautiful flower gardens growing & wondered if it was OK to join your group too? One hexagon flower a week is so easily done when there's no time limit set.
Whilst here I have also been admiring your Klosjes & POTC blocks, they are fabulous. The latter is a quilt I would also like to make one day since I saw it in the book "The Patchworks of Lucy Boston". She was a remarkable lady!

fabulous..... can I please join the group. What a wonderful way to get a GFG done. Thanks

Please can I join in with your garden and Klosjes Karen? I've been resisting and trying to get other things finished but the lure of some hand piecing is too great and I want to get going.

HI there! I saw Valentina's logo on Stray Stitches blog, and was led here. I'm so glad I found you! I have definitely been bitten by the hexie bug. Can I join this group even tho I am using a different method? My LQS owner showed me how to make the hexies by folding around a circle, no paper needed, just an iron. Can I use Valentina's beautiful button on my blog? with credit to her of course.

Hi! I would like to join! I have been working on hand piecing a flower garden quilt, but have been working on it slowly. Is it too late to join? I have about ten done. I opted to make them larger than most, so I would have less flowers to make--but I like them. They are a great "take along" project.
