My May A Tisket A Tasket basket is all finished. The June basket was posted on Friday and I can't wait to get going on that one. Because my baskets are all different colours, I am having a hard time picturing sashing. I'm not sure if it should be all the same fabric or a mix of fabric and colours and what colour? I just don't know.

Country Calendar is such a sweet BOM. One day I would like to do the applique version. I'm not sure what was going on as I stitched my May block, but stitching a straight line was out of the question.
Started appliqueing my Tiny Baskets. These are the first four of twenty. I'm just going to make this quilt up as I go along.
Until next week.....happy quilting!

I love all your baskets and peonies are one of my most favourite of flowers. Thanks for sharing these photos today.
ReplyDeleteOhh..love your new blocks ..all the baskets... ... and the peonies.. gorgeous!!! :o)
ReplyDeleteI have the same peonies and just love them, mainly because they are my favorite colors! All your basket projects are coming along so nicely. I can't wait to see what you choose for your sashing.
ReplyDeleteLove your May basket. So pretty. And, of course, that gorgeous peony. Fun to watch it open.
ReplyDeleteKaren I love all your blocks.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Your May basket is so pretty - that BOM is so much fun. Love the other little baskets, also - they are so scrappy and sweet. Scrappy is my favorite way to do quilts - the more fabrics I can put in the better I like it. I always enjoy your lovely flowers, too. Enjoy stitching! Carol
ReplyDeleteYour basket is adorable. My baskets are different colors, as well - not sure what to use for sashing and such. Might have to wait till they they are all done. Love your little baskets - have you seen mine? I'll post an updated picture.
ReplyDeleteHi there. Lovely eye candy but you do know that your blue on blue tiny basket is lost don't you? I guess it's my eyesight and it may be worse than I thought (getting up there n age, you know) but it took me a while to fine the tiny basket.
ReplyDeleteYou have been very busy!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks fabulous! I am only on my March basket. I better get moving, before you know it the end of the year will be here.
Your little baskets are so cute! I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for them.
ReplyDeleteYour peony photos are AMAZING! I planted my first one last year.
ReplyDeleteYour Tisket tasket block is so charming.
I learned at a class that with a scrappy quilt a scrappy sashing and border won't draw attention to any one color...but if you do want one color to stand out, then use that color for sashings/borders. I love your block!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh those baskets...delightful. Love them. And you're flower is love, too!
ReplyDeleteLove your May basket. I have been thinking about my sashing too. Not sure what I will use but we have a while to figure it out.
ReplyDeleteThat peony is spectacular.
Love all your other works too.
Pretty flowers, almost as pretty as me, Louise!
ReplyDeleteyou must be a born photographer! those peonies photo's were awesome and not one ant on them.LOL
ReplyDeleteI love your new blocks the BHill is adorable and your baskets are the best..
Baskets galore! Your Bunny Hill basket is just lovely. Could you do a sort of scrappy sashing? It seems like that could be fun and take advantage of all of the wonderful colors you've been using.
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are gorgeous. Wow!
