Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home. ~Edith Sitwell

Until next week.....happy quilting!

P.S. Before you go, have a look at my lastest Dear Jane block. I was up for a challenge and selected a block with 47 tiny pieces. The block is called Maze of Madness. Remember, I am doing them all by hand. No sewing machine or paper piecing. Just like Jane!

That rag quilt looks very warm and we could use some of that now. The Dear Jane block is fantastic!
What a cozy quilt for this cold weather! And what a good time of year to spend all of the time we want working on what we love best! You have such lovely quotes on your blog!
Cozy describes it so well. and we need cozy because it's so cold this winter. I can't remember when it was this cold for so long.
I am starting to think spring in colours because it's so cold!
Even the dog won't stay out!
I loved to read those chosen words, true and comforting at the same time. I also love the Elm Creek novels, just finished the sugarcamp quilt, and there is another one (christmas gift) waiting on the shelves... Enjoy your book with that cosy quilt and the nice cup in front of the fire...
WOW....all by hand...I'm impressed....VERY impressed!
Karen - Thank-you for the nice compliment you left on my blog. I can't wait to see your Red Delicious blocks as well. The rag quilt is wonderful, so warm and cozy!
Your quilt looks so cozy.
Thanks for finding my blog! I've been trying to be green by using up my stash, before returning to reusing textiles. That was how I started, until I got addicted to quilt stores!
