The stitchery bug has bitten again!
Well trying to adjust to my new prescription glasses I think I backed out almost as many stitches as I put in. I didn't tell the doctor that I had been using drugstore reading glasses with a slightly stronger len strength. I now have to hold things further away from me to see and I find it very awkward to stitch. Well I am still having trouble focusing; I think it is slowly getting better.
After completing four stitchery blocks in a row, it was time for a little hand piecing and Dear Jane was calling me. I think for the rest of the week I am going to work on something I have not worked on in a very long time.
Until next time.....happy quilting!
Karen
love the pattern, you did a great job!
ReplyDeleteKaren, the Polka Dot Girls stitchery is beautiful! I have that one in my ToDo pile... x
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery is lovely! February my gratitude focus was @ vision. I have gone through periods of difficulty seeing and i want to always be grateful for being able to see. Hope your vision works itself out quickly!
ReplyDeleteHand piecing can be most satisfactory & i look forward to seeing your work! B
Your stitcheries are gorgeous. I bought this pattern but never got around to stitching it. Might have to get it out again after seeing your inspiring work.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery is beautiful !! I still use ordinary reading-glasses and wait for my arms to grow ;-))
ReplyDeleteLove your stitcheries Karen.
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery blocks look wonderful! How fun it is to see the Polka Dot girls again! :0)
ReplyDeleteI've got that stitchery bug too. Love your work!
ReplyDeleteLove the Polka Dot Girls, beautiful stitching! Where can you get the patterns for those?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitches, Karen! My eyes are resting, they are so well done!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely stitchery, does that summer belong to the Polka Dot Girls quilt? They are so beautiful both of them.
ReplyDeleteHope your sight is without a trouble with your new glasses, you just have to get used to them. I use drugstore reading glasses with different lens strength depending what I'm doing, probably not very wise.
LOVELY blocks! I hate getting used to new lenses/glasses, and I hate that things have to change (sigh). I hate wearinbg my glasses but can't really see well enough to stitch with my contacts...maybe I need a cheap pair of drugstore glasses to wear with them!
ReplyDeleteIn stitches,
Teresa :o)
Oh, now you got my mind thinking about The Polka Dot Girls. I wanted to do those stitcheries but never purchased the patterns. I had forgotten all about the patterns. They are cute, cute.
ReplyDeleteYour Polka Dot Girl blocks are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhere can I find this stitchery pattern?
Love those polka dot girls. I need to get working on mine, but I am trying to finish my "Over the River" first.
ReplyDeleteHello Rose, I purchased The Polka-Dot Girls at: (treasuredthreadsonline.com) several years ago.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! It's really hard to get used to new glasses when you do hand work!! Hope it gets easier soon!
ReplyDeleteVery nice work! Focusing with new glasses is a challenge for me too and I hope it gets easier for you soon.
