August Clamshell Report

Not that I am wishing the days away, but I do look forward to the end of the month to see the progress of other Clamshell Club members.  This is definitely a challenging, but fun project.  I must admit that on a couple of occasions I was more then willing to toss my clamshells overboard.  It may not be smooth sailing just yet, but I am feeling pretty pumped about my next round of clamshells.

This month I have increased my basting even more, changed my template some and I no longer draw seam lines on the front bottoms of my clamshells.  I think my tweaking days may soon be over.

65 inches wide
21 clamshells per row
64 of 720 pieced together

It's looking good and I love it!

Until next time.....happy quilting!

Karen

  6. What a beautiful fabric. I have lots of asian fabric but never know exactly what to do with them. Maybe for my next clamm shell project.

  7. That's a lot of clams!! Seeing them hanging there reminds me of muscles clinging to the posts of the pier down by the ferry docks.

  15. Isn't this fun? You're so clever to have perfected your process. It looks great! You will not be able to fit it on the door for very long now that you are concentrating on production rather than method!
