Friendship Giveaway

Last night, we arrived home exhausted from our annual spring road trip to Shipshewana, Indiana.  As always, I managed to bring back a few goodies, like this lovely charm pack, Friendship, by Howard Marcus, and thought it would make for a nice giveaway.

So, for a chance to win, all you have to do is leave a comment and tell me what friendship means to you, before midnight May 12.  Any 'no-reply' entries will be excluded from the draw.  A winner will be chosen by random May 13 and announced here.

Until next time.....good luck and happy quilting!

Karen

And, the winner is.....

Margrethe Quiltegleder

Fun topic! Friendship is being able to just be yourself among another...it is simple, it isn't work...my better friendships are easy and not taken for granted.

I think a true friend is one that loves you all the time, not just the good times. I always say thank you for loving me warts and all! And, I try to be that kind of friend too ~

2 weeks ago, I had a reunion with the people with whom I lived in our student house (like a dorm, but much smaller). I hadn't seen them for over 6 years and, eventhough we had been best friends back then, I even lost contact with some of them.
I guessed it would be strange to see those people again, after so long. But I was wrong. It felt like not a day had passed since we had last seen eachother. Our friendship was just as warm and special as 6 years ago. I guess real friendship doesn't fade!

I think friendship is something very precious and it is like a plant, we also have to handle it with care but it is all worth it, because it grows to a wonderful flower of love!

Friendship is so hard define and so important to have. To trust and be trusted.

I believe friendship is smiling when you see a friend's face!
It is also to share a tear. No wanting.
Giving and sharing naturally.

Friends are silver but girlfriends are golden! Life without girlfriends is life without sunshine.

True friendship is a rare jewel of life. It is being there for the other through thick and thin. Friendship means the sharing of dreams and ideas without risk of ridicule. It means when things are bleak, there is someone at all hours. It means giving of oneself without the other asking. True friendship should be nurtured and cared for at all costs. We should always appreciate our friends so that our friendships may continue to grow.

Friendship is a special relationship between two people. They except each other for who they are and are there for each other in good as well as in heartbreaking. I visited with 2 such friends last weekend and each gave me strength in different ways. Friends are wonderful.

I would have to say that friendship is that special bond with someone that only requires eye contact and no words need be exchanged to know 'everything' whether good or bad.

Thanks for the opportunity to win such gorgeous fabrics!
Friends are always there for each other, you can share the good and the bad with them and it doesn't matter how long between visits, even years, and things between you are still the same as always. Life without friendship wouldn't be half as fulfilling.

Friendship for me is giving to another person I care about "just because". It's sitting and exchanging looks where actually communicate what we are thinking.

A true friend is someone you can instantly reconnect with, even if you haven't seen them for a long time. And they're always there for you. I think I'm going to Shipshewanna on my next solo vacation.
