New Gadget

Before I put this little gadget away, I thought I would show you what I found during my road trip to Shipshewana, Indiana.  It is a needlepuller for hand quilting.  Ellen uses one and I was very surprised and delighted when I came across it at Yoder's, my favourite quilt shop in Shipshewana.

A little pricey at $10.99, but I was looking for something better then rubber disks and scissor forceps.  Rubber disks work fairly well, but I am always losing them and spend more time searching around my chair then quilting.  They also wear out fast.  The scissor forceps are a great idea, but then tend to bend the needle.  This new gadget stays on your finger as you quilt.  Click here to see how it works.

Up next.....
some Stash Builders from my road trip.
Like I need to build my stash!

Until next time.....happy quilting!

Karen

That looks like really a great gadget. And, Karen, you are worth every cent of the price you paid! Should last you through lots and lots of quilts. Carol

I'm sold!! I have so little strength in my hands to pull the needle through that this will be an absolute treasure!! I've already checked and the LQS has them in stock.
Thanks for the review!

I would love to see this in action. The rubber disks are my favorite way to pull needles but I sure am open for a better way :0)

I've got mine for 9 years already, the older version without the yellow plastic. Works like a charm!! Once you get used to it, you can't do without hihi!! So sewing becomes even more happier thing to do LOL!! Hugs, Daniëlle

The same as Danielle with me, got mine about 10 years ago, all metal instead of the yellow plastic. And it works really good. Can't work with a thimble, but this one is a keeper.

Thank you for this post Karen. I saw this years ago and always wondered how to use it.

What a neat tool. I am not a quilter but it would help with some of my other stitching projects too I bet.
