One Flower Wednesday June Report

Here it is the end of June and I'm feeling pretty good with seven flowers completed this month, for a total of 59 of 92 flowers.  I wish I could start piecing them together now, but because my flower fabric repeats I will have to wait until they have all bloomed.

I wondered if I would see any Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts at the Shipshewana Quilt Festival and I did!  Two full size quilts and a little pictorial quilt with hexagon flowers in the border.  Note the addition of the diamond shape border around the flowers on the second quilt.  I like that!

Today I do a double post because not only does One Flower Wednesday fall on the last day of the month, but it is also the day my Clamshell report is due.  So, off I go to post my clamshell progress for the month of June.

You've made beautiful flowers and the lucky thing is, you don't need to give them water, the blossom without ;-))

7 flowers is great Karen! They are wonderful. Thank you also for the pictures of the hexagon quilts. Aren't they amazing? I love the diamonds in between, but it looks like a lot of work.

I have also visited your clamshell report ....wow! An excellent briefing of what is going to be a great quilt. The fabric will make a gorgeous border

7~wonderful! and they are so pretty!
thank you for showing us the quilts. I have never seen one w/the diamonds between and I am getting to teh point now with my flowers where I wonder how I will connect them. It is nice to see that there are other options. I do not know yet what I will do next. Still just enjoying watching them bloom. Thank you for this group, my quilt would not be here if it were not for you! :)

Beautiful flowers Karen. I do like your fabric, specially the pink one at the top - well I like them all. 7 flowers is very very good, considering all the other projects you are doing. Thank you for sharing the photos from the festival. Take care and happy stitching :)

Beautiful flowers!
And thank you for showing the amazing GFG quilts! The one with the diamond path helped me to figure out how to costruct the half flowers on the top and bottom in the best way.

Hi Karen! Beautiful flowers and your two full size quilts are amazing! I, too, like the diamonds and thought about using that once my garden is in full bloom. Your clamshell project is gorgeous as well!
