It took a bit of time, but I final stitched my first Sweet Nostalgia block. Borders will be done in 1930's fabric and I plan to add them as each block is made. Also, I took the opportunity to test out some Cosmo thread and was pretty pleased. It is a little smoother then DMC, but like DMC, it does fuzz some, but a very nice addition to my thread collection.
Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I have yet to make a Valentine's Day quilt. So, for this year, my Dear Jane Valentine's block will have to do. Vivian at Quilts and a Mug had an anniversary giveaway and I won a lovely bundle of reproduction fat quarters. Click here to see my winnings. Quilts and a Mug is one of my most favourite blogs to visit, so this was a special win. Thank you Vivian!
Are you a cat lover? If so, you may be interested in Catalicious by Red Brolly. Bronwyn Hayes will be posting, each month, a free stitchery cat design. Click here to download first block. Right now, I am machine quilting my Country Calendar stitchery quilt and plan to have it finished, binding and all, by Sunday.Until next time.....happy quilting!
