Tiny Baskets

I finial tired of looking at my Tiny Baskets hanging on the design wall and got down to business. The blocks and baskets were made from a charm pack called Hopscotch. I was pretty sure I had some other Hopscotch yardage, in my stash. One piece was all I came up with, so I went with it. Don't be afraid! If you look at it long enough, it grows on you.

A Tisket, A Tasket September Basket

I took advantage of the t-shirt weather days last week and cleaned up my Dad's garden for the winter. I prefer doing the big clean up in the Fall, rather then in the Spring. Now, I wait for the leaves to fall. I hope to get mine done this week. The lawn is growing much slower now and I think the last lawn cutting will be the first of November.
There is nothing like a sale! DMC embroidery floss for 28 cents a piece. Normally, I pay 49 cents. Before I headed out I printed off the DMC floss chart and highlighted which ones I had. They sure do have lots of different colours. I don't have them all yet, but I'm getting there. Just 128 to go!

Until next week.....happy quilting!

Karen

I love the tiny baskets, you have more patience than I! I am also in the fall garden/yard cleanup mess. While the grass isn't growing too much I have 7 mature trees dropping leaves so I use the mower to crunch them up! I'll be mowing until Thanksgiving unless it snows!

Very cute basket wall hanging, Karen. And the tisket a tasket basket is darling. Such fun blocks to do and only two to go. Here at my little condo I don't have too much fall yard cleaning - but did have to get rid of the spent flowers from my containers and there are quite a few of those. We have a woods right by us so everyone carries the flowers down there and they turn into compost under the rain an snow over the winter. I love the autumn! Have a great week, Karen. Carol

Those little baskets are showing up everywhere. I guess I'd better dig mine out of the UFO pile and finish it.

The basket quilt is very cute, I confess I've had a project on the wall for 2 years. DMC is $1.10 in Aussie so that was a terrific price.

Love your basket quilt. Great way to use scraps. Your BOM is very cute too. I am 3 behind.
Great idea to carry a list like that of the DMC floss. I think I have just about all of the except for the higher numbers since I use to do cross stitch.
